My name is Jill, and I’ve struggled with my weight for as long as I can remember. My journey didn’t start with bariatric surgery; it started with a lifetime of searching for balance and trying to understand why my body and hormones never seemed to regulate no matter how hard I tried.

I don’t remember a time when I wasn’t dieting, or when people around me weren’t discussing my body. I battled metabolic issues and constant frustration, but one thing about me has never changed: I’ve never given up. That’s what I’m most proud of. No matter how many times life has challenged me, I’ve chosen to keep going. I genuinely believe there is nothing in this world that I cannot make it through.

Sports were my safe space growing up. I was an athlete my entire life, playing soccer and lacrosse through high school and continuing lacrosse at the Division II level in college. My favorite memories come from the field. I’ve always been a natural athlete, and rediscovering that part of myself has been such a gift.

For years, working out felt like punishment. It was something I had to do, not something I wanted to do. My body always resisted it; my cortisol was high, my energy was low, and my joy was gone. Now, things are different. I wake up and choose to move. I lift heavy, I sweat, I push myself, and I love that feeling. It’s not about punishment anymore. It’s about freedom.

My goal is to build the habits that the healthiest version of Jill can live by—the version of me who feels balanced, grounded, and alive. I don’t believe in modern diet fads or labeling foods as “good” or “bad.” I believe in nourishment, not restriction. I believe food is fuel, and that learning how to fuel your body and not your emotions is the key to long-term healing.

I’m a huge advocate for people taking control of their health in whatever way they need to, whether that’s through medical intervention, therapy, or lifestyle change. I believe in a 360-degree approach to wellness: body, mind, and spirit. I work with a therapist, a nutritionist, my surgical clinic, a holistic doctor, and a personal trainer. I’m hitting this journey from every angle with self-respect and compassion leading the way.

Sharing my journey has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Every conversation I have with someone on this same path reminds me that I have a purpose—to show others that healing is possible, that you can rebuild trust with yourself, and that it’s never too late to start again.
